LILUG- Long
Island Linux Users Group
The group was formed out of interested parties from
two previously-existing Linux organizations, the Farmingdale Linux
and Associated Technologies Club and the Brookhaven National Laboratory
Local Linux Users Group . Each of these two organizations are distinct
and separate from LILUG.

A local group which discusses PHP, a popular server
side scripting language often used in conjunction with Linux, Apache,
and MySQL.

KDE is a powerful Free Software graphical desktop
environment for Linux and Unix workstations. It combines ease of use,
contemporary functionality, and outstanding graphical design with
the technological superiority of the Unix operating system.
The Stony Brook Computing Society (SBCS) is a an official Student
Chapter of the ACM, the worldwide educational and scientific computing
society. Stony Brook is well known for its high-caliber Computer Science
department, and the students that take a personal interest in the
field are those who are members of the Stony Brook Computing Society.
