ACM-

LILUG- Long Island Linux Users Group
The group was formed out of interested parties from two previously-existing Linux organizations, the Farmingdale Linux and Associated Technologies Club and the Brookhaven National Laboratory Local Linux Users Group . Each of these two organizations are distinct and separate from LILUG.

LI PHP- Long Island PHP Users Group
A local group which discusses PHP, a popular server side scripting language often used in conjunction with Linux, Apache, and MySQL.

The Stony Brook Computing Society (SBCS) is a an official Student Chapter of the ACM, the worldwide educational and scientific computing society. Stony Brook is well known for its high-caliber Computer Science department, and the students that take a personal interest in the field are those who are members of the Stony Brook Computing Society.
